If only these walls could talk…the world would know just how hard it is to tell the truth in a story in which everyone’s a liar.

About This Quote

When you hear a story told, do you often hear the source of the story? If you are like me, then you often wonder how the stories are made up. I sit down with people and listen to their stories and wonder how they got to where they are. It’s not until days later that I hear the voice of the person who told me the story. The person who told me their story is now telling me another story, yet another story all together.

We start to see this happen with our friends, families, and teachers. Everyone has a different point of view about an event or person. When we hear someone tell us a story, we often wonder why they feel so strongly about it.

What happened? What were they feeling? Why did this happen? We ask all these questions because we want to know why they feel what they feel. Sometimes though, it’s better to not ask these questions because the truth is not always pretty. The truth can be hurtful or damaging or aggravating…or it could make us feel like we are in another world where everyone lies all day long.
